In a movie-mood

😛 Feeling productive today (as in writing in this journal)

I just wanted to let off some steam regarding one of the worst movies of the year….

:crazy:VAN HELSING :crazy:

Oh my God what utter crap and an offensive excuse for a movie that was! Here are the only good things about the movie:

* Kate Beckinsdale is hot
* Dracula’s Brides were hot
* Dracula was kinda cool
* Nice backdrops

Well, that’s pretty much it. The movie was an explosive Theme Park-ride from start to finish – never slowing down for a moment. It was just exhausting, and it kept throwing in cliche upon cliche, as we needed more cliches after the terrible acting (and don’t get me started on those so-called ‘Romanian’ accents), lame-ass CG effects and ridiculous story.

I hope this movie doesn’t spell the end to Hugh Jackman’s career – because he’s pretty cool in the X-Men series; but in this movie he was just a big parody of himself.

Movies I have yet to see and have very high hopes for:

I (Heart) Huckabees
LA Twister
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Bourne Supremacy
The Grudge
Napoleon Dynamite
Team America:World Police
The Forgotten
The Incredibles
Before Sunset
Finding Neverland
House of Flying Daggers
Ocean’s Twelve
Meet the Fockers
The Life Aquatic
The Motorcycle Diaries
Garden State

…I guess that’s the list right now!! :laugh:

“House of Flying Daggers” and “2046” are in the mail right now, being shipped from those terribly nice people over at Layoyo.com! Can’t wait to see both of those movies. I’m hoping the DVDs aren’t some bootleg-crap (but they’re mentioned on Monkeypeaches and they frown upon bootlegs, so I think they are legit.) I get enough bootlegs from other sources, I don’t need to friggin buy them too!)
